Student Admission Policy for Primary Students

At Al Hasanain, we strive to provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where each student can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. Our admission policy ensures a fair and transparent process, giving equal opportunities to all prospective primary students. Below, we outline the key aspects of our admission policy:

ELIGIBILITY

Age Requirement: Students seeking admission to the primary section must fulfil the age criteria as specified by the relevant education authorities.

Our Institute admits students who are between the ages of 5 and 11, and who meet the academic and behavioural standards set by our school.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Application Form: Parents or guardians must submit an application form, which is available online or in person at our school. The application form must be completed and submitted along with all the required documents.

Admission into Al Hasanain is processed in the order in which we receive your completed application. 

Required Documents: Please complete all sections of the application and provide the following supporting documents as listed below. The application will be processed only upon obtaining the following:

• Two (2) recent passport-size photographs of the applicant
• Two (2) recent passport-size photographs of each parent/guardian
• Applicant birth certificate
• Applicant, Father, Mother and/or Guardian passport copy (for Foreign Applicants only)
• Applicant, Father, Mother and/or Guardian NID (for Bangladeshi applicants only)
• Letter of conduct and behaviour from previous Institutes
• An Institute leaving certificate or Institute leaving report
• The most recent full Institute report and any other reports from the past 12 months Medical details of any specific or special medical requirements.

Once processed, we will arrange a date for your child to do their admission test.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

All applicants are required to take an admission exam. The exam is designed to evaluate the student’s academic level and to determine their readiness for our school’s curriculum.

Interview: After the admission exam, the student and their parent/guardian will be invited for an interview with our admission committee. The interview is an opportunity for us to get to know the student and their family better and to discuss any questions or concerns. Adherence towards Islamic values, upright attitude and exceptional aptitude will be given preference.

ADMISSION TEST

We expect a high level of academic achievement as well as good moral conduct at Al Hasanain. In order to facilitate this, places are offered to pupils who demonstrate the aptitude and capability to conform and excel. Completed tests are marked by our Academic Team and made available for the Admission Team and the Head of the Institute to review.

The outcome of the assessment test will be made available to parents within three working days.

The admission test generally contains the following:

Arabic:

a) Quaran reading test.

b) Arabic reading and writing test.

c) Surah, Dua and Hadith memorising test.

General:

a) English. A check on reading abilities (using phonics tests and graded reading books) and writing abilities (writing a sentence to a short paragraph).

b) Science & Maths. A check on your child’s previous year’s learning to assess if they are capable of following our learning programme.

c) Maths. A check on your child’s previous year’s learning to assess if they are capable of following our learning programme.

d) Bangla. A check on your child’s previous year’s learning to assess if they are capable of following our learning programme.

Oral Test:

A short casual informal conversation to assess English and Bangla speaking aptitude.

ADMISSION RESULT

Once the selection process is complete, parents will be notified of the admission decision through email, phone call, or postal mail.

Successful Applicant: An offer letter will be sent to confirm a successful application along with commencement dates and payment procedures and deadline.

Conditional Offer: Further Assessment may be required. Before a place is offered to your child, further assessments may be necessary for us to be confident that we can cater for your child’s needs. We will keep in touch with you via email or phone to arrange a follow-up meeting.

Unsuccessful Applicant: A notification letter is sent to an unsuccessful applicant. You will be informed by email of an unsuccessful application, and we will share our observations and reasoning with you.

Waiting List: If the required class is full, your child will be placed on a waiting list and you will be informed by email. In this case, the offer letter will only be sent when a place becomes available.

ENROLMENT

Acceptance of Offer: Parents must confirm their acceptance of the admission offer within the specified time frame by completing the necessary paperwork and paying the required fees.

Our admission policy adheres to all applicable local and national laws and regulations.
